At the heart of the set, a Prunier Oscietra Supérieur caviar 50 g, crafted in the Prunier atelier (Montpon, Dordogne). Its complex, hazelnut aromatic profile comes fully into its own as the aperitif. The Caviar House Brut champagne 75 cl, made by Maison Lombard, extends the pairing codified by French haute gastronomie: a mineral freshness that lifts the briny notes of the pearls.

The pack of 16 mini-blinis (135 g) is the ideal companion to the tasting: warmed before serving, they act as a neutral base for the caviar ideally with crème fraîche. Why does champagne pair so well with caviar?

Should the blinis be warmed?
Yes, a warm blini offers a soft texture and a contrast in temperature with the caviar (cold) that crowns it. Warm them for 2 to 3 minutes in the oven at 150°C, or 30 seconds per side in a dry pan. Served cold, the blini is still perfectly edible but loses its characteristic softness.
